Professor

Burke Robinson teaches at Stanford University. He is a Consulting
Professor in the Management Science & Engineering Department, where he
leads a team that teaches a sequence of graduate courses on decision making in
organizations.
Students in these courses work in small teams to learn practical tools and
techniques for framing, structuring, modeling, assessing, and analyzing some of
the actual decisions being made in many different organizations -- from
businesses to non-profits, from educational to healthcare
institutions, and from the private sector to the public sector.
Prof. Robinson also helps teach several courses on decision systems, where students learn
how to automate an efficient and effective process for making similar decisions over and over. In addition, he has a long-standing interest in crisis decision
making, a subject that appears increasingly relevant as surprises occur more
frequently in today's rapidly changing
world.
